Bel Bear Bakes is a Melbourne-based creative cake studio specialising in bespoke buttercream cakes, cupcakes and small sweets.

Protecting your data and privacy is important to us. We do not disclose any information about our customers to any other persons or organisations. Any changes to our privacy policy will be updated so that information is current and all of our website visitors will be informed about what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it.

Confidentiality 
All personal information that you provide will be collected solely to assist us with processing your enquiry /order, contacting you at your request or helping us with improving our products and services. Your information will not be sold, rented or shared with any other persons or trade organisations. We do however use secure third-party service providers to process and store your data in order to assist us with processing enquiries, orders and feedback. This website site is also protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. Your personal information would only every be disclosed if we believe that such disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, enforce or apply the terms of our agreements, or protect the rights, property or safety of our website or other customers.

Communication and marketing
If you have made an enquiry with us but have not signed up to receive our newsletters, we will only contact you at your request regarding specific information relating to your enquiry submission or order. If you have signed up to our mailing list, we will communicate with you regarding any business updates, special offers or promotions. You may contact us directly via email at any time to be removed from our mailing list.

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is done so we may recognise and automatically approve any follow-up comments, instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
